VIDEO: Police: Mobile home fire is suspicious
Police in Delaware have deemed a two-alarm fire in Newark suspicious.

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- Police in Delaware have ruled a two-alarm fire in Newark an arson.

The flames broke out around 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of Edinburg Street at the Glasgow Trailer Court.

Upon arrival, police discovered a second fire two streets over in the 100 block on Garnett Street.

Officials said Friday both fires were intentionally started by an unknown person or persons igniting combustibles.

The estimated damage to the trailers is about $5,000, police said.

Both units were abandoned. No injuries were reported.

It took firefighters more than an hour to fight the flames because they said someone tampered with the fire hydrants.
