NORRISTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- Montgomery County officials say 911 service was fully restored Friday morning after problems stemming from cut lines.

Full service came back at 5:18 a.m.

The problems began around 2 p.m. Thursday when contractor in Wayne struck a conduit containing communication lines, officials said.

Between then and Friday morning, officials said callers using a landline could have gotten a busy signal. They note, however, that not all landline calls were affected.

There were no problems with cellular service, they said, and they are not aware of any incidents in which someone's safety was put at risk by the problem.
