North Philadelphia pharmacy robbed at gunpoint

Police are looking for an armed suspect who robbed a North Philadelphia pharmacy.

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are looking for an armed suspect who robbed a pharmacy at gunpoint in North Philadelphia Tuesday afternoon.

It happened inside the Sun Ray Pharmacy located on the 1500 block of North Broad Street.

Police say the suspect walked into the pharmacy at 4:40 p.m. and demanded money from the cash register or he would shoot everyone in the store.

He got away with $200 in cash before fleeing into a waiting taxi.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 25 to 35-years-old, 5'9" tall with a thin build, goatee and dark complexion. He was wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans and a dark colored baseball cap.
