A transgender Pennsylvania inmate says fellow inmates and officers are harassing her, and now she wants out of jail.

Police arrested Dakota Barnes for prostitution last month.

She is currently in the process of changing her gender, from male to female.

Police put her in the male housing unit of the Luzerne County jail.

She says she feels unsafe.

The deputy warden says they are following policy, because Barnes is anatomically still a male.
