Pedestrian critical after being struck by bicycle in New Castle County

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- An 18-year-old man is in critical condition after being struck by a bicycle in New Castle County.

The incident happened around 4:45 p.m. Friday in the unit block of West Main Street in Newark.

Officials said the man sustained a head injury.

He was treated at the scene and then taken to Christiana Hospital.

Police are investigating.
