Pedestrian struck and killed in Gloucester County, N.J.

MANTUA TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident on Route 55 in Mantua Township, New Jersey Saturday morning.

They say a driver struck and killed an unidentified victim walking on the road around 5:00 a.m.

State police closed the northbound side of the road, just past the Woodbury-Glassboro Road exit to investigate.

The road was reopened around 10:00 a.m.

The driver is cooperating with police and no charges were filed.
