HARRISBURG, Pa. -- A man from Montgomery County is among 12 people who are charged in a prescription drug bust in Central Pennsylvania.

Carlos Soto, 50, of South Park Avenue in Trooper, Pa., is charged with one count of obtaining/possession of a controlled substance by misrepresentation, fraud, forgery, deception, or subterfuge.

The Pennsylvania Attorney General's office said on Wednesday the arrests are in connection to an alleged fraudulent prescription case involving Dr. David Wait of New Cumberland, Pa.

Wait was charged back in August.

Investigators say he wrote more than 400 fraudulent prescriptions, mostly for oxycodone, in exchange for cash.

The 12 people who were charged allegedly obtained prescriptions from Wait.

Those charged are:

Jerry Burrall, 32, of Bosler Ave., Lemoyne, Cumberland County, is charged with one count of obtaining/possession of a controlled substance by misrepresentation, fraud, forgery, deception, or subterfuge and one count of delivery of a controlled substance.

Gina Swartz, 47, of Pennsylvania Ave., Enola, Cumberland County, is charged with two counts of obtaining/possession of a controlled substance by misrepresentation, fraud, forgery, deception, or subterfuge.

Thomas Carricato, 52, of N. Harrisburg St., Harrisburg, Dauphin County, is charged with three counts of obtaining/possession of a controlled substance by misrepresentation, fraud, forgery, deception, or subterfuge.

Neil Alexander, 30, of E. Church Ave., Masontown, Fayette County, is charged with one count of obtaining/possession of a controlled substance by misrepresentation, fraud, forgery, deception, or subterfuge.

Nicholas Brown, 33, of Spruce St., Pottsville, Schuylkill County, is charged with one count of obtaining/possession of a controlled substance by misrepresentation, fraud, forgery, deception, or subterfuge.

Robin Clark, 50, of Troy St., Canton, Bradford County, is charged with one count of obtaining/possession of a controlled substance by misrepresentation, fraud, forgery, deception, or subterfuge.

Clayton Foster, 26, of S. 19th St., Harrisburg, Dauphin County, is charged with one count of obtaining/possession of a controlled substance by misrepresentation, fraud, forgery, deception, or subterfuge.

Joseph Mitchell, 32, of Mitchell Road, Newport, Perry County, is charged with one count of obtaining/possession of a controlled substance by misrepresentation, fraud, forgery, deception, or subterfuge.

Sean Reiley, 24, of Chicory Drive, Palmyra, Lebanon County, is charged with one count of obtaining/possession of a controlled substance by misrepresentation, fraud, forgery, deception, or subterfuge.

Nicholas Sexton, 20, of N. 2nd St., Wormleysburg, Cumberland County, is charged with one count of obtaining/possession of a controlled substance by misrepresentation, fraud, forgery, deception, or subterfuge.

Ashlee Shull, 22, of Pine St., Harrisburg, Dauphin County, is charged with one count of obtaining/possession of a controlled substance by misrepresentation, fraud, forgery, deception, or subterfuge.
