Delaware State Police say a single engine plane crashed after landing at Jenkins Airport, west of Wyoming.

WYOMING, Del. (WPVI) -- Delaware State Police say a single engine plane crashed after landing at Jenkins Airport, west of Wyoming.

It was 7:08 a.m. Friday when the 1980 Piper fixed wing plane was making a planned landing at the airport, located at 9935 Westville Road.

The plane landed on the grassy runway and then continued across Westville Road, coming to a stop in an empty yard.

The 62 year old pilot and a 43 year old passenger from New Jersey were uninjured.

Investigators and the FAA are working to determine the cause of the crash.
