VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. (WPVI) -- New police body camera video shows a rare glimpse into the danger an officer faces when they come under fire.

You can hear the gunshots being fired as an officer and his partner arrive at a home in Florida on Monday.

They were responding to a woman's 911 call that her husband had a gun.

Police raced to the home after the woman screamed and the line went dead.

The woman was found laying in her driveway with a shot to the leg.

One of the officers dragged her to the safety of a neighbor's home while the other exchanged fire with the suspect.

Eventually, the woman's two small children ran out of the home and to the safety of the first officer.

The husband, Emmanuel Rosado, was arrested and charged with three counts of attempted murder.

His wife is expected to make a full recovery
