Police in Bucks County have charged both an alleged thief, and the man who shot and wounded him.

MORRISVILLE, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police in Bucks County have charged both an alleged thief, and the man who shot and wounded him.

According to investigators, Joshua Dennis was trying to break into a car outside the Woodland Manor Apartments in Morrisville, Pa. early Thursday morning.

The owner, Baishaun Jones, saw what was happening and confronted him.

Dennis jumped into his own vehicle and took off, but police say Jones got into his car and chased him.

Surveillance video caught the moment Dennis lost control of his car, left the road and crashed at East Bridge and North Pennsylvania avenues.

Video shows a man chase down and shoot a would-be thief in Morrisville, Bucks County.

Jones stopped and both men got out of their cars. That's when Jones pulled out a gun and shot Dennis in the arm.

Dennis was charged with attempted robbery on Friday, and Jones was charged with aggravated assault and other offenses.

Police are investigating an attempted theft and car chase that ended with a homeowner shooting and wounding a suspect in Morrisville, Bucks County.
