Police say a pet dog was killed when its owner confronted three criminals in Bucks County.

LEVITTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- A pet dog was killed when its owner confronted three suspects who were attempting to a motorcycle in Bucks County.

Police say two men and a woman were trying to steal the bike from a driveway on Goldengate Road in Levittown Monday morning.

The homeowner noticed and came outside to stop them.

Police say one of the suspects then fired a shot and killed the homeowner's dog.

The gunman remains at large.

His two accomplices were arrested.
