Philadelphia police are looking for a man posing as a police officer.

FAIRMOUNT PARK (WPVI) -- Police are looking for a man posing as a cop, who they say robbed and assaulted a victim in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park section.

Officers responded around 8:40 p.m. Sunday to the area of Concourse Drive and Belmont Avenue.

A victim told police a man impersonating an officer approached and pulled a semi-automatic weapon from his belt.

The suspect robbed, and then assaulted the victim with the gun, hitting him in the back of the head.

The suspect then took off in a black Ford Explorer with flashing lights, but no sirens.

The victim was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. No word on his condition.

The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, facial hair, wearing all black. He remains at large.

The suspect got away with $100.

Police are investigating.
