Police investigate alleged abduction, assault of boy in Hunting Park

HUNTING PARK (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a report of an alleged abduction and assault of a 9-year old boy in Philadelphia's Hunting Park section.

It happened around 4:25 p.m. Friday in the rear of a property on the 1300 block of McFerran Street.

Police say they were told the boy was dragged into the alleyway by his book bag, chained to a fence and assaulted.

His alleged attacker is described as a man in his 30s wearing a white shirt covering his face.

Sources tell Action News that detectives in the Special Victims Unit have been unable to verify the boy's story.
