Police: Man offered ride to students walking to school and fled

HELLERTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police in one Pennsylvania town are searching for a man they say approached three students walking to school.

Authorities in Hellertown, Northampton County say a man driving a gray colored Dodge or Chevrolet pickup truck approached three female students just after 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Police say he asked the students where they were going and offered to drive them.

After being rejected, the man drove off north on Easton Road.

Police say another incident occurred last week involving a man and vehicle matching the same description in the area of Front Street.

The man is described as white, late 40s to early 50s, brown eyes, with salt/pepper hair.
