Police: Man tried to rob bank after hours

TOMS RIVER, N.J. (WPVI) -- A Toms River man was arrested after trying to rob a TD Bank - outside of its hours of operation.

Police said Michael Gibson allegedly flashed a gun at the door as employees closed up for the day.

Gibson then got into a van, police said, driven by his cousin, Sydir Gibson.

Police caught up with both men not too far from the bank. When they did, a gun was found in the van, police said.

Both men are facing several charges.
