Police seek man who robbed NE Philly bank

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The search is on for a man who robbed a bank in Northeast Philadelphia on Thursday.

Investigators released surveillance photos of the crime in progress at the Republic Bank branch on the 8700 block of Frankford Avenue.

Police say the man gave the teller a note demanding money around 11 a.m. and got away with an unknown amount of cash.

He was last seen heading north on Frankford.

Authorities consider him armed and dangerous. There is a reward for tips leading to his arrest.
