SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are searching for a suspect who they say scammed several renters after signing a fraudulent lease to a property in South Philadelphia.

The suspect was caught on surveillance back on January 26 meeting a victim on the 2300 block of West Passyunk Avenue to sign rental lease on a property located at 2338 South Hemberger Street.

After signing the lease, the victim paid the suspect a deposit and was scheduled to move in on January 28.
