HILLTOWN TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Bucks County officials say a woman is hospitalized with serious injuries after being run over by her own car in a Hilltown Township.

The accident occurred just before 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of the Pet Shack located in the 1600 block of Bethlehem Pike.

Township police say the 72-year-old woman thought she had parked her Cadillac Seville and was getting out of her car when the accident occurred.

The woman apparently left the Seville in reverse and was struck by the car with the right front tire hitting her chest and stomach.

Police say she was conscious, but in extreme pain.

She was flown to Temple University Hospital with serious injuries.
