Search for gunman in dollar store robbery in Montco

LR. POTTSGROVE, Pa. (WPVI) -- Two police departments in Montgomery County are teaming up to find an armed robber.

A surveillance video was released from the Dollar General in Lower Pottsgrove Township Thursday night.

Police say the robber threatened workers just before 7:30 p.m. with a handgun, but no one was hurt.

The suspect wore a black face-mask and long robe which covered most of his features.

He was also described as a black male and about 6'6" tall. Under the robe, he wore blue jeans and light colored sneakers or canvas type shoes.

He was armed with a black colored handgun described as semi-automatic.

After leaving the store, he was seen running west across a parking lot.

Limerick Township police suspect this could be the same robber who held up a Dollar Tree store earlier this week.
