Seniors evacuated from Wilmington high-rise

WILMINGTON (WPVI) -- More than 100 seniors in Wilmington had to be evacuated when their high-rise lost power.

A resident at the Baynard Apartments tells Action News the lights went out around 4:00 p.m. Wednesday.

The seniors were temporarily moved to the Park View Apartments

When Action News arrived Thursday, crews were trying to fix the blown electrical switch gear.

They hoped to have the lights on by late afternoon.

However, it's only a temporary fix.
