Several families have been displaced after an apartment fire in Montgomery County, according to the Red Cross.

PENNSBURG, Pa. (WPVI) -- Several families have been displaced after an apartment fire in Montgomery County, according to the Red Cross.

The fire broke out shortly after 6:00 a.m. Sunday on the 100 block of 4th Street in Pennsburg.

Arriving firefighters found flames shooting from the upper floors of the three-story apartment building.

It took crews less than an hour to get control of the blaze.

The Red Cross says their volunteers are assisting 20 people who were impacted, providing them with food, clothing and lodging.

No injuries have been reported.
