Shooting victim collapses near nurse

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man with a gunshot wound managed to run from the scene, only to collapse right near a passing nurse in North Philadelphia.

The shooting happened around 5:15 a.m. Sunday on the 400 block of West Clearfield Street.

The man collapsed on 5th Street where a nurse was walking by.

She applied a tourniquet to the victim and called for help.

The victim was rushed to the hospital in stable condition.

Police are now trying to identify a suspect and motive for the shooting.
