A man critically injured in a West Philadelphia shooting ran to a fire station for help.

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police have identified a 30-year-old man killed in a shooting in West Philadelphia.

The victim is Terrell Cooper of the 5200 block of Knox Street.

The shooting happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday on the 100 block of South 56th Street.

Police say the man was walking down the street when he was shot in the chest.

He was able to make it to a nearby firehouse where he knocked on the door seeking help.

Medics arrived and took him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center for surgery.

He was later pronounced dead at 7:34 a.m.

No arrests have been made.
