Shotgun wielding man opens fire on 2 women in Hunting Park

HUNTING PARK (WPVI) -- Two women were injured, one critical, after a shooting in the city's Hunting Park section.

It happened around 4:15 p.m. along the 4400 block of North 7th Street.

Police said a man with a shotgun walked out of his home and shot two women who live on the block.

One woman was struck in the neck.

She was rushed to Temple University Hospital in critical condition. She was deemed a trauma alert en route.

The other victim suffered a graze wound. She is being treated at Albert Einstein Medical Center.

Police said the suspect is in custody.
