Police have released surveillance video of a shooting at a West Philadelphia doughnut shop.

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police have released surveillance video of a shooting at a West Philadelphia doughnut shop.

The shooting happened around 7 a.m. Sunday at the shop on the 4000 block of Lancaster Avenue.

Police say a male suspect approached the front door and fired several shots inside the shop.

The shooter then quickly fled the area in an unknown direction.

A 20-year-old man was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and treated for three gunshot wounds to the groin area.

The suspect is described as a black male, 45 to 50 years of age, 5'8, and 180 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
