Suspect sought in Burlington County stabbing

FLORENCE TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Police are searching for a suspect wanted in a stabbing that left a victim injured in Florence Township, Burlington County.

The suspect has been identified as Akil Herbert.

Police are searching for the suspect in the woods between Norman and Route 130.

The incident happened around 4 p.m. Wednesday.

The victim is being treated at Capital Health Hospital. No word on her condition at this time.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6 foot 4 inches, 250 pounds, with braided hair. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, black shorts and sneakers.

He remains at large, and is considered armed and dangerous.
