Teen arrested in Wilmington shopping center shooting

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Police say a 17-year-old male was arrested for shooting a man in a Wilmington, Delaware shopping center.

The incident happened around 4:00 p.m. at the Adams 4 Shopping Center on the 200 block of North Monroe Street.

Officers responded to a shooting, but when they arrived there was no victim.

A short time later, a 43-year-old male was driven by private auto to Wilmington Hospital with gunshot wounds to the leg and abdomen.

After investigating the shooting and collecting evidence an arrest was made.

The teen was charged with attempted murder, robbery and possession of a firearm.

He is currently being held at the New Castle County Detention Center in lieu of $175,000 cash bail.
