16-year-old boy injured in Wilmington shooting

Police are investigating a shooting that left a teenage boy injured in Wilmington, Delaware.

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a shooting that left a teenage boy injured in Wilmington, Delaware.

Officers responded around 6:42 p.m. Wednesday to the 2600 block of North Market Street.

Upon arrival they located a 16-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound to his left calf area.

The victim was treated on the scene, and then taken to Nemours Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in good condition.

Police say the circumstances surrounding shooting remain under investigation.

No arrests have been made.
