PENNSAUKEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- A community is remembering a 2-year-old boy from Pennsauken who was murdered last weekend.

Family and friends held a vigil for Jamil Baskerville, Jr.

People created signs and left stuffed animals outside the home where he lived.

Zachary Trichoche has been charged with the youngster's murder.

Police say Trichoche beat the boy to death on Sunday.

According to investigators it started as an argument between Trichoche and his girlfriend, the toddler's mother, over groceries.

Trichoche is behind bars in lieu of $1 million cash bail.
