PHILADELPHIA -- There is a new tribute for a Philadelphia police officer who lost her battle with breast cancer.

Tuesday at police headquarters, Komen Philadelphia dedicated a new memorial plaque to the family of Officer Karen Walker, who died earlier this year.

Her diagnosis inspired police to form their own team for the Race for the Cure.

Officer Walker participated proudly in the 2014 Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure Survivors Parade of Pink.

Together, team "pink cuffs" raised $16,000 over the last two years.

Komen also honored all of the team's 125 members for their success.
