VIDEO: Officer interrupts church service
Video showing a police officer settling a custody issue during a Pensacola church service has gone viral.

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WPVI) -- Cell phone video showing a police officer settling a custody issue during a church service is going viral.

It happened during a service at the Allen Chapel AME Church in Pensacola, Florida.

Reverend Freddie Tellis' granddaughter had been staying with him, but the girl's father has a court order showingheE has legal custody.

"I heard a commotion. The officer had walked in the middle of the church with her hand on her revolver, I guess as an intimidation ploy, and was trying to force this 13-year-old young lady out of her seat," said Rev. Tellis.

Police say their intentions have been grossly blown out of proportion and that the snippet we see in this video doesn't tell the whole story.

The snippet has been shared thousands of times on social media.

Pensacola police say plan to shed some light on this by releasing the officer's body cam video.
