VIDEO: Police officer saves choking driver

AUSTIN, Texas (WPVI) -- A police officer in Texas saved the life of a woman he pulled over when he realized she was choking.

Officer Dustin Clinkscales made the stop in Austin because he thought the driver was talking on a cellphone.

When he walked up to her car, he realized the woman was choking and he immediately performed the Heimlich maneuver.

The woman passed out after the officer cleared her throat, but she is ok.
