Wolf: Seth Williams should resign from office
Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf says Philadelphia's top prosecutor should step down.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf says Philadelphia's top prosecutor should step down.

Action News spoke to the Governor about Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams at an event in Greys Ferry Wednesday morning.

Williams is facing federal charges on bribery and extortion.

"I think the legal system is working, but I think in the meantime, he ought to spend his time defending himself and resign from office," Wolf said.

Williams has until Friday to find a new lawyer.

His current attorney, Michael Diamondstein, wants off the case because he fears Williams can't pay him.

The city stopped paying legal fees once Williams was indicted last week.
