Woman killed when vehicle hits tree in East Mt. Airy

EAST MT. AIRY (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a fatal crash in East Mt. Airy.

It happened at 7:42 a.m. Friday in the 1300 block of East Washington Lane.

Investigators say a woman in her 50s lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a tree.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported.

Accident investigators were working to determine what led to the crash.
