Woman rescued after car plunges into lake in Chester County, Pa.

NEW GARDEN TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- A woman had to be rescued from the water after she crashed her car into a lake in Chester County.

First responders rushed to the scene around midnight.

They found the vehicle in Somerset Lake along Club House Lane in New Garden Township.

The woman was pulled out of the car and taken to the hospital in serious condition.

There was no immediate word what caused her to lose control of the car.
