A woman has been sentenced to house arrest for threatening the family that bought the home she wanted.

A woman once named mother of the year has now been sentenced to house arrest for threatening the family that bought the home she wanted.

Kathy Rowe apologized in court for posting ads on Craigslist inviting men to rape the woman who lived at the house.

Rowe wanted to buy the home, but lost out to the family she then threatened.

That family spoke in court about the horrors they faced because of her.

"It was a calculated, sustained and malicious attack on the well-being of my entire family," the woman's husband said in court.

His wife said she had to take self defense classes and a became a prisoner in her own home.

Rowe was sentenced to one year house arrest and five years probation.

She was also ordered to stay away from her victims for 10 years.
