Woman shot and wounded in leg in Olney

OLNEY (WPVI) -- Police say a woman was shot and wounded in the leg in the Olney section of Philadelphia early Monday morning.

The shooting happened around 3:45 a.m. at the intersection of 5th Street and Roosevelt Boulevard.

Officers rushed the woman to the hospital. She is listed in stable condition.

Witnesses told police they saw a beige colored Cadillac flee the scene heading northbound on 5th Street.

Police have not released the name of the victim.

So far, there are no arrests or word on a motive for the shooting.
