NJ police warn residents about smash-and-grab crimes
NJ police warn residents about smash-and-grab crimes. Sharrie Williams reports during Action News at 4:30 p.m. on January 18, 2018.

BORDENTOWN, N.J. (WPVI) -- There is a warning issued for residents in Burlington and Mercer Counties after police say a nationwide, smash-and-grab gang is committing crimes in the area.

Their latest victim was at a gym in Bordentown Township.

Two days ago, members of the so-called "Felony Lane Gang" broke the window of a car and took whatever they could find inside.

Police in Bordentown says the group targets purses and wallets left in cars.

They are telling everyone in the area to take all valuables with you when you park your vehicle.
