PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are looking for a 19-year-old man who they say shot and killed his girlfriend's father in North Philadelphia.
Authorities were called around 8:30 p.m. Monday to the 2600 block of North Bonsall Street for a shooting.
Police found the 46-year-old victim had been shot in the head.
According to investigators, the 19-year-old was fighting with his girlfriend when her father intervened.
Police said the teen took out a gun and shot the father.
"When police arrived on location they were directed inside of a property and in the first floor living room, they found a 46-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his head, chest and his back. He was completely unresponsive," Philadelphia Chief Inspector Scott Small said.
The victim was pronounced dead soon after at Temple University Hospital.
Police said the shooter was able to drive away with trails of evidence left behind.
"Four spent shell casings, so we know four shots were fired from a semiautomatic weapon. We also found several bullet holes in the walls and the ceiling," Small said.
Authorities said they know who he is and have the vehicle description.
Anyone with information should call police.
