NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A 76-year-old man was shot while sitting in his living room in North Philadelphia.

The shooting happened around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday on the 3600 block of North Marvine Street.

"My mom is not holding up real well. My dad was hurt real bad. Staples and arm broke. The house is a mess," Fisher said.

Tara Fisher tells Action News bullets were fired into her parents home as they sat in the living room. Her father was struck in the arm and shots hit the chair her mother was sitting in.

"My mom is not holding up real well. My dad was hurt real bad. Staples and arm broke. The house is a mess," Fisher said.

According to Tara's husband Steve, police say men walked up onto the porch, and, for an unknown reason, opened fire.

The family believes the bullets were not meant for the couple, but for someone else.

Fisher says her parents have lived in the home for more than 50 years.

"We're not going nowhere. We're not running. We're not going anywhere," Fisher said.

Police are continuing to search for suspects.
