Man killed in North Philadelphia shooting

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are searching for a male wanted in connection with a shooting that left a man dead in North Philadelphia.

The shooting happened shortly after 3 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of West Huntingdon Street.

Police said a 27-year-old man was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the left rib area.

He was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the suspect fled on foot on Huntingdon Street.

So far, no arrests or weapons recovered, police said.
