CHOP helping kids in summer camp learn a few lessons on safety

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Summer camp isn't just for having fun.

CHOP is helping students across the area learn a few important lessons along the way.

Monday morning, nurses stopped by the Waterview Rec Center in West Philadelphia.

They taught the youngsters a few safety tips for the water, and how to tell if their helmets fit correctly.

They also touched on the importance of sunscreen.

The nurses stressed that their simple lessons will help kids avoid ending up in the hospital.
