NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Only Action News was there for a benefit Saturday for a courageous police officer who was shot in the line of duty.

Officer Jesse Hartnett showed up at the Skate-Zone in Northeast Philadelphia as Philly's Finest Hockey Team took on the Flyers Alumni.

The Flyers presented Hartnett with his own personalized jersey.

Back in January, Hartnett was ambushed, while sitting in his police car, by a gunman who said he was motivated by Islam to attack.

Hartnett's arm was shattered under a hail of bullets.

Despite his injuries, he was able to return fire, hitting the attacker three times.

Money raised will help fund Hartnett's recovery.
