16-year-old charged in New Year's Day killing in Olney

OLNEY (WPVI) -- Police have arrested a teenager in connection with the shooting death of a 18-year-old man in Philadelphia's Olney section.

16-year-old Jahkere Moore is charged as an adult with Murder, Violation of the Uniform Firearm Act, and related offenses for the murder of Hyneaf Harris.

The shooting was reported around 5:15 a.m. on New Year's Day inside a home on the 5800 block of North Philip Street.

Arriving officers located Hyneaf Harris in the basement suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the head.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

So far, no word on motive for the shooting.
