BEN FRANKLIN BRIDGE (WPVI) -- A PATCO train became stuck on the Ben Franklin Bridge Tuesday afternoon.
The westbound train became disabled around 4 p.m.
Approximately 100 passengers were on the train at the time.
PATCO says the train experienced an electrical malfunction which activated the emergency brake bringing the train to a halt.
The passengers were offloaded, transported back to Camden, and put on another train to complete their travel.
The train was retrieved and is being evaluated.
Service resumed after a little more than an hour.
The incident resulted in residual backups.
