Pedestrian struck and killed in Cape May County

MIDDLE TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed in Middle Township, Cape May County.

The fatal accident occurred along the 1000 block of South Route 9 shortly before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say the pedestrian was struck by a southbound vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the striking vehicle remained at the scene.

No further description has been released on the victim.
