PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say two people were hurt after shots were fired on a street in Chester, Delaware County.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. Friday on the 400 block of Highland Avene.

According to police, an adult and a 7-year-old girl were injured by the gunfire.

The adult was identified as Nathan Blackwell, Sr. of Philadelphia. He was struck in the arm and lower waist.

The girl was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia with a wound to her leg.

Both victims are listed in good condition.

Police say after viewing the video, it was determined that a red Jeep Compass may have been involved.

So far, no word on an arrest or motive for the shooting.
