Bucks County couple sentenced to prison for torturing twin daughters

TULLYTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- A judge Friday sentenced a Bucks County couple to 10 to 21 years in state prison for torturing their infant twin daughters.

Prosecutors say Melissa and Michael Shales of Tullytown abused the newborns over the first 2 months of their lives.

Sometimes while high, other times in domestic fights over drugs, and then failed to get the babies medical treatment, prosecutors say.
