Truck carrying pineapples catches fire on Pa. Turnpike in Berks County

CAERNARVON TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- A truck carrying pineapples that caught on fire is causing a traffic mess in Berks County.

The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the westbound lanes just west of the Morgantown Interchange in Caernarvon Township.

Fortunately, there were no injuries, but the right lane is blocked, causing a six-mile backup.

Officials say it will take several hours to clean up.
