New research out of Britain says your dog could be your best fitness trainer.

Scientists found that dog owners were four times more likely to get the recommended amount of weekly exercise, compared to non-dog owners.

Children were also found to get more exercise.

However, scientists said the research might vary in the United States, as most Britons, unlike Americans, walk their dogs regardless of the weather.
